Items added to Cross Stitch Page
I have updated the Cross Stitch Page with pictures of items I just picked up from the framer. My framer does a wonderful job, but it is sticker shock when you take so many items in at the same time.

A few things
I have been spending time that I should have been quilting or cross stitching putting a jigsaw puzzle together. I became quite obsessed with it and I finally finished it. I glued it and purchased a frame at Michael's this afternoon and now it is hanging on the wall in my sewing room. The puzzle belonged to a member of my stitch group who was moving and no longer wanted it. I am very happy with it and will think of her everytime I look at it.
I hav also put some new photos on my cross stitch page of items I have recently picked up from my framer. She does an excellent job.

Apron Strings
When I went to my LNS last week I purchased the one skein of floss I needed to finish this project. I took it to my local framer this afternoon. I had purchased the frame from East Side Mouldings as was shown on the cover. I am not very original...when I see something I like, I typically just duplicate it.
I also added borders to the Darby quilt and I have posted a new picture on the quilt page.
I had seen a post by Faye the Carolina Stitcher telling of the pouches she had been making. I thought they were so cute so bought the pattern and made one this afternoon. The pattern is The Perfect Pouch by Karen West. The instructions were excellently written and very easy to understand. Now to make one for all of my projects. :)
That is it for this evening. I had not spent much time in my sewing room recently so it feels so good to get something done.

Quilt projects
I have uploaded several of my current quilt projects on to my Quilt Page. I hope to finish up these three projects before starting anything new. But I definitely do have a problem with starting new things before finishing the old.

Disappointed
I went to my LNS today to participate in her end of year inventory sale and purchase the Poinsetta House pattern for the 2012 Year of Smalls project. However, she had sold all of her copies and she was out of stock on all the patterns I had on my list. So I think my plan is to wait until the next project is announced and order all my patterns at the same time. My LNS is about 40 minutes away and I don't get the chance to get over there very often. I can't believe I left the store and my only purchase was thread. :(
Stitching on the Winterology has been challenging for some reason. It is a very easy stitch but it seems I have done more unstitching than stitching. I have stitched the mitten motif and am working on the penguin.

Introduction
I have been a lurker of so many blogs over the past year and when I discovered the 2012 Year of the Smalls stitch along I decided I would have to create my own blog so that I could participate in this project. I am going to my LNS on Friday to purchase the pattern and threads.
I have been cross stitching for over 30 years and I start most days with about 45 minutes of stitching while I have my morning cup of coffee. I find my day goes much smoother if I start the day with stitching. I have numerous designers I follow and my problem is I love it all. I am currently trying to finish up some previously started projects and am stitching on Winter by Triology.
In addition to cross stitch I also enjoy quilting. I have not spent as much time on my quilting as of recent.
I am reducing my work schedule the first to the year with hopes to spend more time with my hobbies.
